Kajsa & Zoey’s Stories

Meet Kajsa

I am certified in canine behaviour modification and training, with a deep passion for helping dogs and their owners build strong, confident, and happy companionship. While my passion lies in working with behavioral challenges, I also offer a wide range of dog training services, including obedience training and puppy classes. My goal is to help all dogs, regardless of their needs, develop into well-rounded, well-behaved companions.

Originally from Sweden, I spent the last decade in Australia, where my journey into dog training truly began. Six years ago, I struggled with my reactive dog, Zoey, and after unsuccessful attempts with several trainers, I finally found one who made a real difference. Recognizing my natural skills and dedication, this trainer invited me to shadow him, sparking my commitment to the field of dog training.

Now in Denmark, I’m excited to bring my expertise to a new community. My approach is rooted in evidence-based methods, with a balanced training approach. At ConfidentK9, I’m here to support you, whether you’re dealing with behavior challenges or simply want to strengthen your bond with your best mate.

Meet Zoey

Zoey is the heart and inspiration behind ConfidentK9. We adopted her at about 3 months old, and she had a challenging start to life. Before joining our family, Zoey experienced early puppyhood marked by abuse and a lack of crucial socialization. This tough start left her to navigate the world on her own.

After coming into our home, Zoey suffered a ligament injury and then another, leading to a long and difficult recovery. By the time she was 2.5 years old, she was finally able to enjoy life with four fully functional legs.

Post-recovery, we noticed reactivity issues toward other dogs, people, and children. After working with several trainers, we finally found one who gave us the tools and confidence to truly understand Zoey. We discovered that, despite her love for us and our love for her, she struggled to trust us fully. The lack of consistent rules and boundaries, coupled with missed socialization period, had left her feeling insecure.

Today, Zoey has flourished, transitioning from Australia to Denmark with us. She is now a calm, confident, and joyful dog. Her journey profoundly influences my approach to dog training, and her experiences fuel my passion for helping other dogs and their owners build stronger, more trusting relationships.
